Hi-Desert Family Health Clinics are proud to be included in the FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) national family and are excited about the opportunity and resources provided which allows us to deliver much needed comprehensive, high-quality preventative and primary health care to the residents of the Morongo Basin regardless of their ability to pay.

 

The FQHC designation was awarded to the Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District (and the Family Health Clinics) in November of 2013 during which time the Clinics shared a strong connection and affiliation to Hi-Desert Medical Center.  After a majority vote in late June of 2015, the District residents approved a 30 year lease of Hi-Desert Medical Center and its affiliates by the nationwide company Tenet Healthcare Corporation.  This transition in management however does NOT include the Hi-Desert Family Health Clinics as they are Federally funded and cannot be operated by a ‘for profit’ company such as Tenet.

 

As such, the Hi-Desert Family Health Clinics will remain as a part of the Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District, and will continue to strive to provide a caring medical home to residents needing primary and specialty health care.  Through anticipated collaborative efforts, the Family Health Clinics will continue to refer and work closely with Tenet and Hi-Desert Medical Center and its ancillary services.
